Tournament Rules

  • BillFish Rules

    Fish 3 of 8 days, January 8th, 2022 through January 15th 2022, boat must send email to Lennymemorialtournament@gmail.com email prior to 8 am to declare their day of fishing.

  • Women’s Tournament & Jr. Anglers: Combined Billfish & Meat fish *All Billfish & Meat rules apply. Fish 1 of 2 days (January 8th, January 9th or January 10th 2022) boat must send email to Lennymemorialtournament@gmail.com email prior to 8 am to declare their day of fishing. May fish out of St Lucie or Fort Pierce Inlet

  • Fishing Time - Lines in 8:30 am. Lines out 3:30 pm.

  • Fort Pierce Inlet- Boundries are 50NM from the Pelican Yacht club docks

  • Verification - Honor system, no observers. Header must clear rod tip or mate must grab leader for the official catch.

  • Circle Hooks only.

  • Conventional reels only.

  • Hook and Hand allowed.

  • Sailfish 100 points per release.

  • Blue and White Marlin 101 points per release.

  • Ties will be broken on time.

    1. 20 Ib. mono must be used.
  • No max on number of lines or teasers in water.

Meat Fish Rules

  • Fishing Boundaries- Boundries are 50NM from the Pelican Yacht club docks

    Eligible Species: Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, Cobia, King, Mutton or Vermillion Snapper.

  • Eligible size- 10lb minimum, 33″ to the fork on Cobia.

  • Live bait and J Hooks allowed for meat fish. Any sails caught with J Hook are disqualified.

  • Top Prize Aggregate Format- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place 50-30-20 split.

  • The objective is to weigh all species. One fish per species may be weighed only.

  • Ties will be broken by total weight. One point per pound for all species

  • Example: Boat A weighs 3 species for a total of 90 Ibs and Boat B weighs four species for a total of 50 lbs Boat B would win.

  • Weigh-in locations: Pelican Yacht Club, Fish Heads of Stuart & Little Jim Bait & Tackle
