We've got the whole fleet out there dressed up in their best rubber outfits ready to party and the guests of honor are a no show! Well, that's not exactly true.. there have been a few releases but the 8 teams who have released fish worked for them! More than half the fleet have yet to catch one of the rascals. As of our noon report Outlaw has the lead on time with 2 Dead Bait releases and Mix It Up is hot on their tail with 6 Live Bait releases both teams at a strong 600 points for their first day of fishing. Odyssey holds onto the overall lead releasing two fish today bringing their two day total to 1300 points So, if you're watching from work, or home, or even the boat bust out the lucky charms and the fish dances! Let's have a big afternoon!

Congratulations to the appropriately named Odyssey on their daily! Both them and Big Dog deserve a pat or better yet, rub on the back after their day. We look forward to seeing you back on the dock to hear about today's adventure. The rest of you 16 teams gear up! Tomorrow is your day, anything can happen.

It's not just the swell keeping our teams on their toes, the decision to go is paying off for Team Odyssey! 9 Sails before noon is a great start to this fish 3 of 4 day tournament. The 68 Viking is live baiting today making each of their fish worth 100 points. The Big Dog, trolling today, could catch up quick! Each of their fish are worth 300 points. It's way too early to tell but as they say, we're off to the races. Back at the dock another impromptu tournament popped up just after lines in, with several teams hooking up on a passing school of giant blue fish. Jon Henry of Showtime took home top prize with this monster. The fun never stops around here! Join us this afternoon for cocktail hour as we welcome back our two brave fishing teams, and later this evening for a docktail party on the lawn at 6pm.

"It's not the weather, it's just the waves" -Geoff Mayfield The chatter at breakfast this morning explained it all. 19 feet at the Canaveral buoy, with a north east wind headed this way. They say the swell here is 14ft at 12 seconds. That's a lot. Even for the incredibly skilled anglers and crews of this renowned tournament. Odyssey was the first to poke their nose out of the inlet this morning, as the fleet eagerly awaited the report Captain Scott Adams reported back "it's cold". Not the clue they were hoping for. It's cold, it's rough, but after the razzing Captain Mark Pagano gave the fleet last night he had to go. Big Dog is down two anglers but they cleared the inlet, declaring their day by the 7:45 deadline. So Lines in Lines in! Fishing has started. Welcome to the 2024 Gold Cup.
