"Fish Camp" formerly known as the "Wrapped Up" had a day!
10 Sailfish releases on this, their second day of fishing, has set them apart from the fleet! In a big way.
Yesterday's daily winner, Liquidity, is still in second place overall, with Krazy Salts catching 4 today (and this time they all count!) for second place daily.
Our third and fourth place boats Odyssey and Big Dog have fished their final day and I'm sure will be keeping an eye on the rest of our teams as they vie for those top spots.
Party on the north face dock this afternoon, and all you can eat stone crabs for the entire fleet tonight.

Just enough to get you excited, but not enough to play in.
Ugh! It's so hot and cold out there! Earlier this morning they were everywhere! Now no one can find them. The sailfish bite this tournament has come in what they call a "flurry", the fish are excited and biting, then nothing. Is it the current, a change in the wind? Are the fish just messing with us? It's all part of the game.
Our teams are all in the same ocean today, doing their best to work through these conditions. Some boats are north, some are south, some in close, some ran to the deeper water.. All looking for the same thing.. those pointy nose fish that love to jump.
Good luck everyone! The radio is standing by when you find 'em!
- before I could post this we had three more releases! Maybe it's turning back on??

Two years ago they wore dresses, last year they ate happy meals, what in the heck is the Fish Camp up to this time?! With 5 releases by 9am it's a good thing they ate their Lucky Charms this morning because they forgot their sandwiches on the dock. This team of club members and friends have fished the tournament for many years, it was a special moment last year as they backed into the slip, finally getting that first place finish. The name is different, but the boat, the team, and the spirit stay the same. Keep an eye on them! They are our new leaders after a very busy morning.
Good job to all the teams so far! Lots of doubles and triples! Keep it up!
*note to club staff- if Fish Camp pulls it off again this year, put the less expensive champagne in the Gold Cup.

Let's have a day like yesterday afternoon!
The phrase "early and often" is the mantra of many sailfish teams, however, it's not the way it worked for yesterday's daily winner. Club members, Team Liquidity, caught their first fish at 2:18 the first fish of a triple, then they caught a double at 3:09. 5 fish in the last hour and fifteen minutes of fishing, can you imagine the energy on that boat for the ride in!? Another member team, Krazy Salts had a different type of luck, hooking a triple just after lines out were called. The flags looked good flying at the dock though!
As the sun set behind the club yesterday the dock was full of flags and smiles. It was a good day for the fleet, hoping for another.. but earlier.. and more often.
Lines in lines in, day 3.
